The Spectre of Hope – Sebastião Salgado

I’m not normally that keen on documentaries dissecting an artist’s work, as your own interpretations are stronger and more relevant to yourself for being personal, but Sebastião Salgado‘s work is so powerful, so affecting it can take any amount of discussion. The Spectre of Hope is a moving documentary about the present moment on our planet. In the film, made in 2000, Salgado presents his remarkable photographs in conversation with John Berger.
